Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

SyncRadar Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who We Are

SyncRadar Ltd is a UK-registered company. For data protection enquiries, contact founder@syncradar.io.

What We Collect

When you use our website or submit the contact form:

  • Name, email address, job title, and organisation
  • Event details you provide
  • Technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited)

When you use the SyncRadar app at events:

  • Profile information you provide (name, role, intent)
  • Approximate proximity data (session-based only)
  • Connection and handshake activity within event sessions

How We Use Your Data

  • Respond to contact form submissions
  • Provide the SyncRadar proximity service at events
  • Generate anonymised, aggregated event analytics for organisers
  • Send product updates and launch announcements (with your consent)

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing, store precise location data, track you outside event sessions, or use your data for advertising.

Proximity Data

SyncRadar estimates approximate proximity between users who have explicitly opted in. Your device never broadcasts your identity. Proximity data is session-based and automatically deleted at the end of each event. No location history is stored.

Legal Basis

  • Consent — contact form submissions, marketing communications
  • Legitimate interest — website analytics, service improvement
  • Contract performance — event service delivery

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port, and object to processing of your personal data. You may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact founder@syncradar.io.

Data Retention

  • Contact form data: retained for 24 months or until you request deletion
  • Event session data: deleted at the end of each event session
  • Aggregated analytics: retained indefinitely (fully anonymised)

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via our website.
